Alison Krauss

Alison Krauss has been a country artist for more than 30 years. Her birthplace was in the city of Decatur on 23rd July 1971. LeAnn Kymes and her were two of the earliest winners of the Grammy Award. Alison Maria Krauss - born July 23rd 1971 - is an American country and bluegrass singer. She began her career in the industry in the early years, winning local contests by the age of 10 and recording for the first time when she was 14 years old. The year 1985 saw her signing to Rounder Records. Her first solo album was released in 1987. She was invited to join the band which she still performs Alison Krauss and Union Station and released her first album in the band in 1989.
